With eFilm you can just right click the study from the local list and create a package or burn a CD, it packs the images and viewer into a folder and it is super simple. The only thing that seems much more involved and is going to cause havok and confusion for my regular users is creating CDs or packages with DICOM images and a lite viewer. Plus it looks like you actually take pride in your software and push updates regularly, which is a huge change from eFilm. It supports multiplanar reformatting, exporting of images or videos, 3D volume rending, all the things we need in a replacement. We have been using eFilm for ages and I came across Radiant looking for a replacement. MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 2.4 Ghz A1260 model 15' size. This is not an April fools joke, they sent out a mass email indicating they are shutting down eFilm and will no longer support it or allow it to function after the paid licenses have expired. For now, I will have to extract these them in Windows XP Pro. I was unable to find any Mac downloads on web site (e-mailed and currently waiting for a reply/response, but probably won't get a good answer). The aim is to achieve a nationally agreed consensus on how cases are collected, organised and used for teaching and examination and thereby achieve a collective common ground/platform/standard for radiology education across the country.ĭoes anyone know if there is an eFilm Lite software for Mac OS X (10.5.8 and 10.8.4)? One of the medical doctors gave my client a burned CD with scanned X-rays, but we were unable to read the encrypted(?) 522 KB DCIM X-Ray image(?) files and run Windows software (want to avoid installing Windows dual boot and running a virtual machine to make things more complex for him).
